Introduction

This conversion guide is based on the Angular Upgrade Tutorial but adapted for basing the Angular application on Angular CLI rather than on an ad-hoc solution based on SystemJS.

For clarification, this guide tries to follow the branding guidelines of Angular:

• AngularJS = Angular 1.x
• Angular = Angular >= 2

In it we will take the AngularJS Phonecat application and first create a hybrid Angular+AngularJS application which we then gradually migrate to a true Angular application.

It will for most part follow the steps described in Angular Upgrade Tutorial.
